Can Parchment or Quixe run a story file from a Dropbox link?

E.g.

http://iplayif.com/?story=DROPBOX-LINK-GOES-HERE.gblorb

It would be nice if it can, but I'm not sure if it's possible or not. Might depend on the type of shared link. ?dl=0 seems to confuse some of it.

I've had Parchment run stories from Dropbox without problems. I'm assuming you've tried it and it didn't work?

Right, I was getting error messages, and wasn't sure if it was user error or just not possible. On doing some more reading, it looks like Dropbox used to have a public folder, and that is no longer available for new free accounts.

Hmm. Would the website created by "Release along with an interpreter" count as a static web site? Maybe I could go that route--something like Git or Bitbucket lets you host static websites, I think....

You can also upload either a blorb or Inform's website to textadventures.co.uk. Much easier than Github.

Actually, I hadn't got round to adding blorb support to textadventures.co.uk yet - but it works as of... now!

Oops, sorry for speaking too soon!

I had started setting it up elsewhere already, but will keep it in mind for future reference. Thanks!

Toby's Nose plays (Quixe) from dropbox.

The question is more asking about hosting the gamefile in Dropbox and playing it with http://iplayif.com

@ anonymous: I'm curious how you got that link. I do have a Quixe version, and when I click "share" in Dropbox on my play.html file,  the resulting link doesn't have "dropboxusercontent.com" in it at all.
